OK - just got off the phone with Paul - they're still making the inserts so seems all is swell - one less job for me

My business is custom foam grilles - did much of the replacement foam grilles for Altec owners (models 7, 9, 15, Valencia, etc.) when they were in OK and still do them today.

    Re: Model 19 Foams

I've tried emailing the Darsts a few times over the past couple months with no response.

Has anyone received a reply via email lately? I'm interested in foam for my Model 19's if their still making them but just cannot make contact.

    Any info would be appreciated.

Probably won't hear from them by email - they are an older couple and not really that computer oriented. They make these foam parts mainly as a sideline.

UPdate: I will be posting a phone number by next week (he wants time to build up some inventory).

    Re: Model 19 Foams

I ordered a set from them and am disappointed in what I received - they are not using the right type and grade of foam IMO - even painting it with the wrong kind (very smelly) type of paint sooooo I will be looking into making these again using the correct foam (and non painted) as I used to.

    Re: Model 19 Foams

Just received and installed foam for my Model 19's that I got from a company called
    Foam Speaker Grills
    P.O Box
    746 Evart MI 49631
A beautiful product. All foam crisp and cut to fit.
Like others noted the foam does project about 3/8 of an inch into the horns on these also. I could easily exacto knife them to fit.
I got the reference from Great Plains Audio. They were pricy at $100 but they are a good product.
